CPRE East of England
Joining and getting involved

Babraham Stowmarket and the Church

CPRE is a voice for everyone who wants to save our countryside. We believe that much of the destruction is not necessary. We want a future in which our countryside is protected and enhanced, while our towns and cities are made more attractive places to live. But to make this vision a reality we need your support.

Support CPRE by becoming a member,  making a donation, remembering CPRE in your Will, or by volunteering both locally and at the national office in London.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT US FINANCIALLY

SUPPORT US AS A VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are needed with interest/expertise in agriculture and its relationship to the countryside, and rural issues such as access to services shops, post offices, buses and affordable housing issues.  An understanding of agriculture or policy making for agriculture or rural affairs, the current CAP reform implications, Haskins report and the Strategy for Sustainable  Farming and Food in the region and planning issues is helpful.  If you are enthusiastic, are interested and you are prepared to get to grips with the current issues and CPRE’s position on them, get in touch.

In return you will probably be thrust in at the deep end, be expected to feed back comprehensively and in terms that non experts can understand,  work for nothing  more than the respect and support of a team,  the challenge of meeting new people and campaigning on often controversial issues and the satisfaction of knowing that you are  taking positive steps to protect your countryside. Contact Tracy Humphrey on 01480 396698 or email us at info@cpreeast.fsnet.co.uk.

Campaign volunteer

We need someone with some experience of campaigns to act in a support capacity, helping to formulate campaign targets, materials and liaising with other CPRE activists across the East of England.
